I talked to the doctor today and good surgery! YAY! He said I have a bulging disc pressing on the nerves that with some aggressive therapy we can fix it. I am so happy to hear that, I just want this fixed asap. On Thursday I am going to his office and he is going to do some shots. He said I will know by Friday or Saturday if they worked. If they don't work then I will have to do some physical therapy and he said that will definitely help. He said the good thing is, is that this CAN be fixed. Thank God! I just wish I did not have to wait until Thursday for the shots. I am hoping they work because paying 35.00 a pop to go to physical therapy 3-4 times a week does not sound good for my pocket book. Anyway, at least I have a workable plan that will get me feeling better and I can't wait! Thanks for all your well wishes.

Oh and last night my older dog Katie Jo had a seizure and it scared the crap out of me. She was fine one second and then the next she had foam pouring out of her mouth and her legs were going wild. then they became rigid and she wasn't moving. I thought I was watching her die. Then after about 5 minutes she just popped up and started running around the house like nothing happened. It scared me to death. She seems fine today. I hope that does not happen again. I had a dog that had seizures before but I don't remember anything like this. It was very scary. Anyway, I hope you all have a great week.

Hooray for the back shots on Thursday! I'm sure that can't get here soon enough.

I'm so sorry about your dog, that is super scary!! I love my dog and I'd be such a mess if that happened. :(

I should have just read ahead before I left my comment on your last post - yay for no surgery!! I hope you are back to yourself soon.

I am so sorry about Katie Jo! I hope it was just a random occurrence.

'Murgdan' said...! I'm glad about your back but I hope Katie Jo is gonna be ok. That would scare the crap out of me!

congrats on winning the essay contest and no surgery!

One of my pets has seizures and does all that minus the foaming. I thought I was watching him die the first time too. HORRIBLE. Turns out he has epilepsy. It's been getting better as he ages. It was worse when he was young. Such a mysterious affliction.. Best wishes to the pup!

Yay for no surgery!!! That's fantastic. I hope the shots work well for you.
Has your dog ever had a seizure before? My dog started them when she was about 3 years old. She's almost 9 now and I had to just recently start her on meds because they were getting to frequent. Hope it's ok and they don't end up being very frequent.
